1.CANCELLATIONS OF BOOKING/REFUND OF HIRE CHARGE 1.1 Cancellations must be by written notice and submitted to the City's booking offices or online. 1.2 An administration fee equivalent to 10% of the tariff applicable to a booking will be levied for every transfer of a booking provided that written notice of intention to transfer is given on or before the 14th day prior to the date originally reserved and the facility being available on the new date requested. 1.3 If the booking is cancelled after the payment was received a 10% cancellation fee will be charged, based on the total amount due (excluding breakage deposit). 1.4 If a cancellation request is received less than 14 (fourteen) days before occupation, no refund of any money will be made. CONCESSIONS The Director: Recreation & Parks, Area Managers: Recreation and Parks, or his or her nominee may grant individuals or organisations concessions as stipulated in Council's Concessions Policy. Commercial users are not entitled to concessions or discounts. Applications are to be submitted via the booking office. "Commercial - constitutes any usage where revenue is generated. Events involving fundraising are not entitled to request concessions unless they have complied with the Concessions Standard Operating Procedure. " 1.1 Rebates on Film Permits: If for Cape Town Marketing or Student Film, 100% rebate may be applied in consultation with Cape Town Film Permit Office. 1.2 At facilities operating an electronic access control system, a R50 card fee is applicable per issue. This in addition to the annual club fee at facilities allows clubs access after hours. 1.3 Children under 3 years enter free of charge. SPECIAL CONDITIONS The booking, for fund raising and commercial purposes, of resorts,, coastal facilities, parks or sections thereof, where traditionally high volumes of communities make use of such facilities during season and public holidays, is not permitted. This prohibition is applicable particularly where such organisations, individuals or entities will exclude the general public from making use of the facilities and/or where an entrance fee is applicable. Events and activities formally supported by the City are not affected EXCLUSIONS Functions: After-hours at swimming pools No bookings are accepted for private after-hours functions in or out of season, due to operational as well as occupational health and safety risk considerations. Filming: No filming bookings can be accepted during peak season school or public holidays, where the acceptance of such booking will inhibit public access to the facility.
