Transcriptomic analysis of quorum sensing (QS) in P. aeruginosa chronic infection isolates. Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain:EPIC isolates

Using the lab strain PAO1 as a reference genome, we sequenced and assembled the genomes of multiple P. aeruginosa isolates collected through the Early Pseudomonas Infection Control (EPIC) study. We then created deletion mutants of the QS regulators LasR and RhlR for each strain to probe differences in the trajectories of QS-controlled gene expression that arise through adaptation to the conditions of chronic infection in the lung.
