Performance Data and Learner Preferences of Beginners in a 1-hour Spanish Course with Imitated Instructional Methods (Study 1) and without (Study 2)

This dataset includes performance data and preferences of learners who participated in an online Spanish course to learn Spanish as a foreign language, with imitated instructional methods (Study 1, N=103, median completition time 00:47:31), and without imitated instructional methods (Study 2, N=54, median completition time 00:42:29). Learners were recruited via Prolific. Columns are named by the task number (0-18). H5P tasks begin with "hvp". The following preferences are recorded on Likert Scale, and for each preference, two items are recorded: Power Distance (PD) Group Work (GW) Competition (CP) Gamification (GA) Thoroughness (TH) Additionally, the course structure is provided (course-structure.pdf).
