THE LIFE OF MIGRANTS IN THE WORKS OF IQBOL MIRZO: «JANNAT QIDIRGANLAR» AND «BONU» AS CASE STUDIES

This article examines the representation of migrant life in the prose works of Iqbol Mirzo, People's Poet of Uzbekistan and prominent figure in contemporary Uzbek literature. Through detailed textual analysis of two significant prose works—»Jannat Qidirganlar» (Those Who Seek Paradise) and «Bonu»—the study explores how Mirzo portrays the psychological, social, and cultural dimensions of labor migration from Uzbekistan. The research applies narrative analysis and postcolonial theoretical frameworks to examine themes of displacement, identity crisis, family separation, and the tension between economic necessity and emotional belonging. The analysis reveals how Mirzo's literary treatment of migration contributes to broader understanding of Central Asian labor migration experiences while maintaining distinctive national literary traditions. The study argues that these works serve as important social documents that give voice to marginalized migrant experiences and critique the socioeconomic conditions driving mass labor migration.
