Void Strain and Rotation Rates

This repository accompanies the paper:Vigneshwaran, R., and A. A. Benzerga."Assessment of iterated variational homogenization for microstructure evolution in porous materials"The paper contains two sets of data referred to here as "NLA data" and "modeling data".NLA stands for Numerical Limit Analysis. The NLA data is borrowed from Ref. [1] where it was generated using a finite element software (ABAQUS Standard Version 2021). For completeness, the NLA data is provided here in the form of tables. The modeling data contains two subsets referred to here as "IVH data" and "ADH data". IVH stands for Iterated Variational Homogenization [2,3]. ADH stands for Analytical Data-driven Homogenization [1]. All data, NLA and modeling, consist of pore strain rates and rotation rates for arbitrarily oriented ellipsoidal pores. A code is included to generate all modeling data presented in the paper. The code may also be used to generate additional data.Please read README for further information.
