Association of CCR5delta32 with different HCV-related endpoints.

1Due to the relative low CCR5delta32 allele frequency (8.6%), data are presented for the dominant mode of inheritance.2The number patients carrying 0, 1 or 2 copies of CCR5delta32 were 1073, 202 and 15 for patients with chronic infection and 143, 16 and 1 for spontaneous clearers. The associations were also tested by using the additive (OR = 0.61, 95% CI 0.38–1.00, P = 0.05) and recessive (OR = 0.53, 95% CI 0.07–4.07, P = 0.5) modes of inheritance. The association was similar albeit less significant when patients with positive HIV serology were removed (OR = 0.63, 95% CI 0.36–1.08, P = 0.09).Association of CCR5delta32 with different HCV-related endpoints.
