The Australian National Resource Information Centre makes available
five data sets on the Feral pig management project:
1080 poisoning for feral pig control - a quantitative measure of 1080
poison usage for feral pig control in pasture protection areas in
New South Wales and Queensland over the the period of 1985-1988
inclusive.
Feral pig density - qualitative estimates (absent, low, medium, high)
of feral pig density in Queensland and New South Wales, Australia
Commercial feral pig industry survey statistics - pigs harvested,
1985-87, harvesting effort, and catch per unit effort.
Feral pig control officer survey statistics - survey information on
crop damage, lamb predation, control effort, cost of pig damage, etc.
for all rural lands protection boards in New South Wales and Queensland
Recreational hunter survey statistics
The data is 2.7 megabytes and is made available in ArcInfor EXPORT format
on magnetic disk.
