By analyzing the Comprehensive Environmental Quality Index (EQI) of the slope at the Xiashantou Mine, a high EQI signals the need for pollution reduction measures, while a low EQI indicates proper environmental management has been implemented. This dataset provides a quantitative assessment tool for environmental regulation, enabling compliance with national or local environmental protection standards and achieving the harmonious coexistence of economic benefits and environmental protection.
(1) Data Collection: Collect data including temperature, humidity, wind speed, noise, PM2.5, PM10 and total suspended particulate counts from different areas of the Xiashantou Mine slope.
(2) Data Processing: First, standardize the collected data from three distinct areas: office areas, roads and slope land. Then assign weight coefficients based on the relative importance of each parameter to environmental quality. Calculate the comprehensive environmental quality index (EQI) of the entire slope using the following formulas:
For each parameter, compute its minimum and maximum values across the entire slope, then normalize each parameter value to the 0–1 interval.

(3) Application Scenarios: The EQI serves as a quantitative assessment tool for environmental regulation. Through quantitative monitoring, it can prevent environmental risks, reduce legal and health-related costs, enhance corporate image, promote sustainable development, and achieve the harmonious coexistence of economic benefits and environmental protection.
