Ontology for Laboratory Tests in Pavement Engineering

This dataset contains the Pavement Laboratory Ontology (PLOnt), developed to formally represent laboratory tests, materials, instruments, and results in pavement engineering. The ontology was designed to improve standardization, interoperability, and reusability of laboratory data across research and practice. It was constructed using an ontology engineering methodology, supported by expert knowledge acquisition and alignment with standards such as NEN 2660 and SOSA. The dataset includes an ontology file and accompanying resources and a template database, capturing classes, properties, relationships, and controlled vocabularies relevant to pavement laboratory testing. It aims to facilitate data integration, improve consistency in test documentation, and support AI-driven applications in pavement engineering.
