In this study, our primary goal is to generate and deliver a comprehensive suite of raw sequencing data necessary for assembling a high-quality, chromosome-level genome of Gibbotettix parvipulvillus. Specifically, we aim to produce deep-coverage long-read (PacBio HiFi), short-read (Illumina), and Hi-C proximity ligation libraries. These complementary datasets will serve as the foundational input for accurate contig construction, scaffolding, error-correction, and phasing, ultimately yielding a contiguous and well-annotated genome assembly. The integration of these diverse sequencing approaches enables resolution of complex genomic regions, including repetitive elements and structural variations that characterize the Orthopteran lineage. By releasing these raw data publicly, we facilitate not only our own genome assembly efforts but also empower the broader scientific community to conduct downstream analyses of gene content, structural variation, phylogenetic placement, and the molecular bases of morphological and ecological adaptations in this ecologically specialized indicator species. This genomic resource represents a critical step toward understanding the genetic architecture underlying the distinctive traits and restricted ecological niche of Gibbotettix parvipulvillus, while establishing a valuable reference for comparative genomic studies within Tetrigidae and across Orthoptera.
