BoMB is a novel OLTP benchmark grounded in real-world manufacturing company use cases, focusing on heterogeneous workloads including long-running update transactions. This benchmark comprises six types of transactions that simulate the operations of cost management systems, such as product cost calculation and raw material cost update. BoMB aims to address the limitations of existing concurrency control protocols when processing mixed short- and long-duration transactions, and achieves high performance and scalability through precise multi-version serialization graphs and decentralized management.
