Relationships between spectral and biological diversity depend on season and habitat type

This dataset contains plot-level measurements of spectral diversity, taxonomic diversity, functional diversity, and vegetation structure collected from three semi-natural grassland habitats (nutrient-poor grassland, floodplain meadow, and wet heathland) in Germany. Data were collected repeatedly across the growing season (April–September 2008) and were used to investigate seasonal and habitat-dependent relationships between spectral diversity and biological diversity using linear mixed-effects models and structural equation modelling (SEM).
