四年期國防總檢討

國防部依《國防法》第31條規定，於每任總統就職後10個月內提出《四年期國防總檢討》，將總統的國防理念，轉化為戰略與政策，並有系統的說明未來4年國防施政的重點面向與願景勾勒，除滿足全體國人「知」的權利外，亦有助國際社會對我國國防政策與軍事戰略的瞭解。

Pursuant to Article 31 of the National Defense Act, the Ministry of National Defense submits the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR) within 10 months following the inauguration of each president. This document translates the president's defense philosophy into formal strategies and policies, and systematically elaborates on the key priorities and vision for national defense governance over the subsequent four years. In addition to upholding the right of all citizens to be informed, it also assists the international community in gaining a better understanding of this country's defense policies and military strategies.
