The Smart Disaster Detection and Alerting System is an IoT-enabled early warning system that monitors environmental conditions such as soil vibrations, moisture content, and tilt. Using low-cost sensors interfaced with an ESP32 microcontroller, the system detects anomalies that may indicate landslides or earthquakes. Data is processed locally and transmitted in real time to authorities via the Blynk IoT platform. Audible alerts through buzzers and remote notifications enhance community safety. Testing demonstrated reliable detection of seismic vibrations and soil instability. The proposed solution is cost-effective, scalable, and energy-efficient, making it suitable for disaster-prone regions, smart cities, and infrastructure monitoring. Future improvements include machine learning-based prediction, satellite IoT integration, and wider environmental sensing capabilities.
