Acoustic recordings of stridulatory signals of Amazonian ants (Formicidae)

This dataset comprises raw acoustic recordings of stridulatory signals produced by Amazonian ants (Formicidae). The recordings were collected in field conditions and/or controlled settings as part of a study investigating species-specific acoustic variation and the potential use of vibrational communication for taxonomic identification. All audio files are provided in WAV format with a sampling rate of 44 kHz. The dataset includes multiple recordings per species, organised according to specimen identity and recording context (Supplementary Material S1). These data support analyses of temporal and spectral acoustic parameters used for species discrimination. This dataset is intended for reuse in bioacoustics, behavioural ecology, and biodiversity research, particularly in studies focusing on insect communication and non-invasive monitoring techniques.
