As a leading social media platform, WeChat has emerged as a major source of hot social events and online public sentiment. Conducting scientific and accurate assessments of the influence of WeChat Official Accounts holds significant theoretical and practical value for clarifying the characteristics of WeChat-based information dissemination, deeply exploring the potential of WeChat communication, and further standardizing and guiding dissemination behaviors on the WeChat platform. However, analyzing the influence of WeChat accounts solely using metrics such as reading volume and likes is overly one-sided. To address this issue, this system adopts the unified indicator of WeChat Communication Index (WCI) to evaluate the dissemination influence of articles published by WeChat accounts in Guangdong Province among WeChat users, providing data references for assessing the influence of WeChat accounts in Guangdong and further excavating their communication capabilities. The WeChat Communication Index reflects the dissemination capacity and effect of an account through the reach and spread of its content on WeChat. ### Indicator System Collected data metrics include: Daily average reads, Daily average likes, Average reads per article, Average likes per article, Maximum single-article reads, Maximum single-article likes. The evaluation framework covers three core dimensions: 1. Overall Dissemination Power (O) 2. Per-article Dissemination Power (A) 3. Peak Dissemination Power (P) #### WCI Weight Allocation 1. Overall Dissemination Power O (42%): Composed of Daily average reads (85%) and Daily average likes (15%) 2. Per-article Dissemination Power A (42%): Composed of Average reads per article (85%) and Average likes per article (15%) 3. Peak Dissemination Power P (16%): Composed of Maximum single-article reads (85%) and Maximum single-article likes (15%) #### WCI Calculation Formula The final WCI score is calculated as follows: WCI = (O × 42% + A × 42% + P × 16%)² × 10 Where each dimension score is computed using natural logarithms to normalize raw data: O = ln(Daily average reads + 1) × 85% + ln(Daily average likes × 10 + 1) × 15% A = ln(Average reads per article + 1) × 85% + ln(Average likes per article × 10 + 1) × 15% P = ln(Maximum single-article reads + 1) × 85% + ln(Maximum single-article likes × 10 + 1) × 15% Greater WCI values indicate stronger dissemination influence, while lower WCI values correspond to weaker influence.
