Wollombi Brook - Aleppo Street Extension - Rehabilitation Project

This project will rehabilitate a section of the Wollombi Brook that is heavily infested with Privet, other woody weeds and Tradescantia. The works are a natural extension of a site that has been under restoration for several years. Voluntary and locally sourced contractors will be used if possible, with the flow on effect of boosting local knowledge and skills. The site will be developed as a template for what a weed free native riparian zone looks like and as an educational tool for what plants to include, as well as the initial work and ongoing maintenance that is involved.
