Werribee River Park 'east bank' restoration project

This project will focus on the remediation of Werribee River Park's east bank. This linear stretch of land was re-claimed by the government as land to be incorporated as part of the Werribee River Park. The land requires significant weed control and re vegetation to provide important habitat along the river corridor and amenity to users of the future trail that will link to the Bay Trail in Werribee South.

Key elements of the project include:
´ Spraying and removal of weeds;
´ Strategic revegetation to improve environmental values and provide suitable amenity for the future shared trail development;
´ Potential for development of secondary gravel paths to key fishing nodes along the river; and
´ Fencing and signage.
