public_emoji_eye_tracking_data_2020

Data set resulting from eye tracking experiments on emoji processing. A total of 29 participants had to read 60 sentences in total, 30 for the first experiment, and 30 for the second experiment including 10 fillers. Sentences test the processing of emoji in text in different conditions. Binocular eye movements were recorded by using a Tobii T120 eye tracker. The eye movement data were processed by means of Tobii Studio 3.4.8. A post-experiment survey was run to ask participants about their emoji usage and levels of acceptability of various sentences, etc.
