Genres considered to be literature in the Netherlands 2019

As of 2019, the majority of readers surveyed in the Netherlands identified literary novels and poetry to be literary works. 70 percent of readers included literary novels in the literature genre, while just over ten percent of readers saw comics and graphic novels as literary works.
