Ukraine: cargo volume 2009-2021, by mode of transport

Rail transport was the main mode of cargo transport in Ukraine. From 2009 to 2011, the volume of cargo transported in the country increased and peaked at 468.4 million metric tons in 2011. In the following years, this figure decreased and reached 314.3 million metric tons of cargo in 2021. While the second important mode, road transport, mainly increased until 2019, when the volume of road transport peaked at 244.2 million metric tons. In 2021, the cargo volume of road transport was 22.6 million metric tons, representing a 16 percent increase compared to the previous year.

乌克兰的铁路运输一直是货物运输的主要方式。自2009年至2011年，国内货物运输量持续增长，并于2011年达到峰值，为4.684亿吨。随后几年，该数值逐年下降，至2021年降至3.143亿吨。与此同时，作为第二重要的运输方式，公路运输在2019年前一直呈上升趋势，当年公路运输货物量达到峰值，为2.442亿吨。2021年，公路运输的货物量为2260万吨，较上一年增长了16%。
