It is a genome sequence of a representative of a new genus from the family Beggiatoaceae. It was isolated from a sulfide spring in Krasnodar region, Russia. It is capable of chemolithoauthotrophic growth in the presence of reduced sulfur compounds. It accumulate elemental sulfur intracellular.
