Health insurance penetration India FY 2011-2018

The penetration of health insurance across India stood at around 35 percent as of financial year 2018. This was a slight increase compared to the previous year, when the penetration levels were about 33 percent. However, a large section of the society was covered via government sponsored health care schemes, even though the coverage provided was inadequate.
