Macrogenome of soil microorganisms in saltmarsh wetlands in the Yellow River Delta

This study considered bidirectional variation across five precipitation fluctuation levels (-60%, -40%, control, +40%, and +60% of ambient precipitation) under a 7-year precipitation manipulation platform in the Yellow River Delta. We primarily investigated the plant-bacteria-methanogenic archaea interplay through the analyses of plant traits, soil properties, carbon-degrading enzyme activities, microbial community structures and functional gene, and to elucidate the impact of precipitation variations on CH4 production mechanism in saltmarsh wetland soil.
