Bacillus sp. strain CKA1(RSM) isolated from apple root endophytic tissue has the unique ability of functioning as a single strain with concomitant production of multifarious plant beneficial activities. Long term field trial evaluation (2005-2015) of bio-formulation, developed using Bacillus sp. strain CKA1(RSM), resulted in significant increase in seed germination; plant growth; and yield of apple. Application of the bio-formulation accounted in significant biological control and rejuvenation of diseased apple plants in farmers field, infected with dematophora root rot (Rosellinia necatrix) .
