For the assay validation one of the 23 negative control strains (N1) and five of the 91 positive control strains (P1–P5), known to possess one of the beta-lactamase resistance genes that should be accounted within this assay, were used. The runs were performed in six technical replicates and the mean Ct values for each primer/probe combination used in this multiplex assay are indicated.NTC = No Template Control.
