Gene expression following myocardial infarction in mice with Stimulated by retinoic acid gene 6 (Stra6) germline deletion, Vitamin A deficiency, and the combination of both

mRNA expression of hearts obtained from mice with Stimulated by retinoic acid gene 6 (Stra6) germline deletion, Vitamin A deficiency (VAD) induced by lecithin-retinol acyltransferase (Lrat) germline deletion and feeding with vitamin A-deficient diet, and the combination of both. Mice were subjected to myocardial infarction (MI) or Sham surgery. Overall design: C57/Bl6J mice were subjected to myocardial infarction or Sham surgery and sacrificed 3-days post-surgery. mRNA was extracted from the infarct border zone, and libraries were prepared for high throughput sequencing.
