Multidrug-resistant organisms cultured from pre- and post-faecal microbiota transplantation patient stools. Multidrug-resistant organisms in multiple recurrent Clostridioides difficile infected patients treated with faecal microbiota transplantation

Study on the effect of faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) on the colonisation rate with multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria. Stool samples from multiple recurrent Clostridioides difficile infected patiens were collected one day before and three weeks after FMT, and bacteria were cultured on different selective media to evaluate colonisation by MDR bacteria. The cultured isolates were subjected to whole-genome sequencing on the Illumina NovaSeq6000 platform.
