International collaborative projects are currently underway to study EBOV evolution and epidemiology in more detail and whole genome sequences from patients tested positive for EBOV in Dutch Mobile Laboratories may aid in this global effort to understand the current EBOV epidemic and in the combat against EBOV disease. Here we present an analysis of newly determined Ebolavirus genome sequences from the Western Urban and Kono regions. Most viruses were isolated from patients infected in February and March 2015, but the data also include newly circulating strains from the end of June 2015 from the Magazine Wharf area of Freetown, Sierra Leone.
