LEGAL AND REGULATORY FRAMEWORK OF IT SECTOR IN UZBEKISTAN, CURRENT STATE AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS

This article analyzes the legal and regulatory framework of the information technology (IT) sector in Uzbekistan, examines the current state of IT development, and explores future prospects. The study is based on a systematic review of national legislation, strategic policy documents, and recent reforms aimed at digital transformation. The results show that Uzbekistan has made significant progress in developing the IT sector through regulatory improvements, institutional reforms, and international cooperation. However, challenges such as infrastructure gaps, кадровый потенциал, and cybersecurity risks remain. The paper concludes with recommendations for sustainable growth and integration into the global digital economy.
