The unique body plan of plants relies on the dynamic but sustainable activity of the SAM. The SAM maintains itself, and initiates all above ground organs throughout the life cycle. Class I Knotted1-like homeobox (KNOX) genes are specifically expressed in the SAM, and maintain the indeterminacy of the SAM. In this study, we studied a rice KNOX gene, OSH1. Using anti-OSH1 antibody, we carried out ChIP-seq and identified and analyzed the target genes of OSH1.
