Serratia rubidaea mainly exsits in soil, water and food, and normally it’s non-pathogenic. But when patients’ immunity decreased, it can cause invasive infection, such as pulmonary infection and traumatic infection.We report here the first complete genome sequence of Serratia rubidaea, isolated from a patient in China. We hope that this sequence will help for genomic comparisons of the Serratia genus.
