资源简介:
The Trapper's Point site (48SU1006) exhibits evidence of three cultural
levels. The lowest level is undated and predates the Early Archaic bone level,
which represents an antelqpe-kill component dated between 6000 and 5700 BP. The
upper level probably represents a Late Archaic occupation and included scattered
fire-cracked rock and small bifacial reduction flakes. Pollen was examined from
two stratigraphic columns at this site to examine evidence of prehistoric
vegetation and paleoenvironmental conditions. In addition, fill from several
features was examined for pollen evidence of food processing activities. Sanples
were also examined from the Early Archaic bone level for evidence of vegetation
at the time of that occupation.
