Replication Data for: Bridging biosafety and biosecurity gaps: DURC and ePPP policy insights from U.S. institutions

This dataset provides insights into the knowledge and practices of biosafety and biosecurity professionals in the U.S. working with enhanced Potential Pandemic Pathogens (ePPPs) and Dual Use Research of Concern (DURC). The data were collected via a survey conducted among 541 professionals from March to April 2024. Key findings include the association between larger biosafety teams and higher engagement in high-risk research, and differences in policy implementation and compliance reporting across sectors. The data aim to inform public health interventions, policy development, and the oversight of DURC and ePPP research.
