Research data related to the publication "Numerical analysis of influence of various bluff-body shapes on diffusion flame dynamics". In this paper, we investigate various bluff-body shapes (cylindrical, square, star) and two different surface topologies (smooth, wavy) as passive tool to control a non-premixed hydrogen flame in a combustion chamber. Employing large-eddy simulations (LES) with ANSYS Fluent and the academic code SAILOR, we analyze flame dynamics near the injection system and in the far field. The results reveal that bluff-body shape significantly impacts flame behavior. Square and star shapes enhance combustion through interactions between vortices of various sizes.
