Description of the database delivered – file structure and explanation of the attribute fields The database is composed of four shapefiles which represent, for two different sea level rise scenarios (30 cm and 140 cm), the distinction between the cadastral parcels that fall entirely within or entirely outside the respective SLR perimeters. List of files 1. in_slr_30.shp – Particles completely included in the perimeter of the SLR at +30 cm2. out_slr_30.shp – Particles completely outside the perimeter of the SLR at +30 cm3. in_slr_140.shp – Particles completely included in the perimeter of the SLR at +140 cm4. out_slr_140.shp – Particles completely outside the perimeter of the SLR at +140 cm All files contain the same attribute fields, described here: V_pN_T_30: Economic value lost (in euros) in the scenario of tie rod 30, calculated on the totality of the parcel. V_pN_T_100: Economic value lost (in euros) in the scenario of pull 100, calculated on the totality of the parcel. quadrant_name_pc | Percentage of the area of the parcel that falls within one of the territorial quadrants of analysis (Stella, Natissa, Monfalconese, Cormor Aussa). This field allows attribution of damage to the reference quadrant. Calculated by Overlap Analysis. 30cm_pc: Percentage of the parcel falling within the perimeter of the SLR at +30 cm. It is equal to 100% in the in_slr_30 file, equal to 0% in the out_slr_30 file. 140cm_pc: Percentage of the parcel falling within the perimeter of the SLR at +140 cm. It is equal to 100% in the in_slr_140 file, equal to 0% in the out_slr_140 file. Methodological Note The values V_pN_T_30 and V_pN_T_100 were calculated for the entirety of the parcel, applying the inferred loss coefficient of the tie-rods (TR30 and TR100) provided by PGRA. The quadrant_name_pc field allows the aggregation of data at the quadrant level, based on the percentage of the parcel area that falls in the quadrant. Purposes of the database This database enables the estimation and mapping of total economic losses associated with flood and sea rise scenarios, on a parcel-by-parcel basis, and is designed for aggregate analysis by quadrant and hazard scenario.
