ILS system is used to execute a precision instrument approach procedure or precision approach. This ILS data is provided as a geospatial-enabled vector file format and depicted on Enroute charts. ILS information is published every eight weeks by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration-Aeronautical Information Services.
