To examine the impact of selective breeding for voluntary wheel running activity on gene expression in the vomeronasal organ (VNO), RNAseq analysis was conducted in the VNO of 4 High Runner and 4 Control lines. For each of the 4 High Runner and 4 Control lines, total RNA samples were prepared, each consisting of the combined VNOs from 3 individual males or 3 individual females.
为探究选择性选育自愿转轮跑行为对犁鼻器(vomeronasal organ, VNO)基因表达的影响,本研究针对4个高跑(High Runner)品系与4个对照(Control)品系的犁鼻器开展了RNA测序(RNAseq)分析。针对上述4个高跑品系与4个对照品系,研究人员分别制备了总RNA样本,每份样本均由3只雄性或3只雌性个体的犁鼻器组织混合得到。
