This dataset underpins the article “Assessing the Impact of Social Culture and National Regulations on Women’s Engagement in Logistics Decision-Making in Uganda.” It was generated as part of a PhD study at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) to examine how social-cultural norms and national regulatory frameworks shape women’s participation in decision-making within Uganda’s logistics and transport sector. Data were collected between August 2023 and January 2024 through a structured questionnaire administered to 298 logistics professionals, drawn from logistics companies (50.7%), industry associations (35.6%), and government regulatory bodies (13.7%).The dataset includes measures of Social Culture (SC) – 9 indicatorsNational Regulations and Laws (NRL) – 10 indicatorsWomen’s Engagement in Decision-Making (WEDM) – 40 indicatorsIn addition, the data set has other indicators including Individual-Level Factors (gender roles & responsibilities, work–life balance, and pipeline metaphor), Industry -Level Factors (Industry context, Industry gender composition, and Female role models) Organisational-Level Factors ( Hiring policies, Working policies, and promotion process)All variables were measured using a 5-point Likert scale (1 = strongly disagree to 5 = strongly agree). The dataset is anonymized, de-identified, and coded for analysis using SmartPLS 4.0, supporting both measurement and structural model testing.Ethical Approval: Granted by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, Makerere University Business School (Ref: MUBS/FGSR/2023/07/015; Approval Date: 15 July 2023). The study complied with the Declaration of Helsinki (2013) and ensured voluntary participation, informed written consent, and participant anonymity.This research was supported by the Learn Logistics–Kühne Foundation through a doctoral research grant to the author at Makerere University Business School.
