Velocity model navigation files (ASCII format) for Bransfield Strait (NBP0002, NBP0007A, 2000)

This data set presents the navigation data for two-dimensional seismic P-wave velocity models derived from inversion of ocean bottom data collected in Bransfield Strait during year 2000 R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer cruises NBP0002 and NBP0007A. The velocity model navigation files are in ASCII format and relate the model distance to (latitude, longitude) coordinates. The files contain three columns: Model distance along the profile (km); Latitude (degrees); Longitude (degrees). The data set was generated as part of the project called The Young Marginal Basin as a Key to Understanding the Rift-Drift Transition and Andean Orogenesis: OBS Refraction Profiling for Crustal Structure in Bransfield Strait with funding from NSF award OPP98-14041.
