Data Set Supporting the Publication "Soybean Lecithin as a Dispersant for Crude Oil Spills"

Data Set for the article "Soybean Lecithin as a Dispersant for Crude Oil Spills" . Soybean lecithin was fractionated into ethanol soluble (PC) and ethanol insoluble (PI)fractions. The structure of the ethanol insoluble fraction was modified through hydroxylation to form FPI. The effectiveness of the various fractions in dispersing crude oil was then examined with the US EPA's baffled flask test. The effect of crude oil type, and salinity on dispersion effectiveness were also examined.
