Earthworm gut is known to provide an ideal habitat for the microorganisms and harnesses thousands of microbes which are well known for their contribution to lignin, cellulose, phosphates and amylose decomposition in soil.Earthworms and microbes act symbiotically to accelerate and enhance the decomposition of the waste. Present study focuses on the isolation of agarose digesters from earthworm gut enriched by feeding agar agar.
