This study used eDNA metabarcoding to characterize the soil microbiome at five depths in a brownfield site contaminated with heavy metals, petroleum hydrocarbons, and PAHs. The markers targeted were: 16S rRNA, 18S rRNA, and fungal ITS markers. The raw data generated were amplicon fastq sequences.
