资源简介:

Pet grooming services commonly use drying boxes to dry cats and dogs after bathing. However, many conventional pet drying boxes still rely on manual supervision, fixed timers, and limited monitoring features. This condition may reduce drying efficiency and create safety concerns related to excessive temperature, high humidity, poor air circulation, blower noise, and pet discomfort. This study proposes an IoT-based smart pet drying box using the Design Science Research approach. The proposed artifact integrates temperature and humidity sensors, a load cell sensor, movement sensor, noise sensor, blower, heater, exhaust fan, emergency stop button, ESP32 microcontroller, cloud database, and mobile application. The system is designed to support real-time environmental monitoring, automatic temperature control, humidity reduction, weight-based drying duration, safety notification, and role-based dashboard access. Functional evaluation of the proposed design logic demonstrates that the system successfully maps weight inputs to adaptive drying durations and executes automatic emergency thermal cut-offs when temperatures reach the 40°C critical limit. This study contributes to IoT-based smart pet care by proposing an integrated drying box artifact that improves monitoring, safety, transparency, and operational efficiency in grooming services
