Cage test: the effect of glue on Osmia bicornis bees
收藏资源简介:
A cage experiment was conducted to determine which type of glue should be used in tests involving the attachment of tags to the bodies of Osmia bicornis (syn. O. rufa). This was a necessary step in order to enable further field study using RFID technology on model solitary bees as part of the research project No. 2019/33/N/NZ8/02864. A detailed description of the experiment is included in the ‘Read_me.docx’ file. A description of the data recording concerning the length of life is included in the metadata in the file: ‘Osmia_longevity_metadata.docx’, and the raw data: ‘Osmia_longevity_raw_data.csv’. A description of the data recording concerning the syrup consumption is included in the metadata in the file: ‘Osmia_consumption_metadata.docx’, and the raw data: 'Osmia_consumption_raw_data.csv'. A description of the data recording concerning the syrup evaporation is included in the metadata in the file: ‘Osmia_evaporation_metadata.docx’, and the raw data: ‘Osmia_evaporation_raw_data.csv’. The experiment was conceptualised, organised and supervised by A. Splitt. J. Jachuła provided scientific consultation. The experiment was carried out by A. Splitt, J. Jachuła, M. Borański with the support of the technical team: P. Węgrzynowicz, T. Białek, R. Jemioła, E. Skwarek and E. Kołtowska. This study was possible through implementation of the research project No. 2019/33/N/NZ8/02864 financed by the National Science Centre, Poland.
