Ground ice on the Moon

This file describes the data published in the figshare article 30417019 "Ground ice on the Moon", which accompanies the manuscript "Subsurface Ice on the Moon Inferred from Measurements of Relative Thermal Inertia".<br>Files:fractions.txt : a comma seperated values (CSV) file with fractions, in order to reproduce the map shown in Figure 3 panel (a). Each value corresponds to the x, y location (in polar stereographic coordinates) on the south pole, and the corresponding ice fraction in that location, assuming the linear ice thermal model discussed in the paper.<br><br>The following are required to reproduce figure 1:lambert.txt: the modeled brightness maximum annual temperatures, assuming Lambert scattering from topography into PSRs. This is required to reproduce figure 1a (comma seperate values).<br>non_lambert.txt: same as lambert.txt, but assuming the new model for non-lambertian scattering. This is required to reproduce figure 1b (comma seperate values).<br><br>The following are required to reproduce Figure 2c:shoem_bin.txt: binned Diviner observations of temperatures as a function of local time for the floor of Shoemaker crater (comma seperate values).shoem_raw.txt: raw Diviner observations of the temperature of the floor of shoemaker crater, as a function of local time (comma seperate values).unnamed_bin.txt: same as shoem_bin.txt, but for the unnamed PSR by Stose crater.unnamed_raw.txt: same as shoem_raw.txt, but for the unnamed PSR by Stose crater.haworth_bin.txt: same as shoem_bin.txt, but for Haworth crater.haworth_raw.txt: same as shoem_raw.txt, but for Haworth crater.
