This dataset contains CO2 production rates of resuspended and undisturbed marine surface sediments (top 3 cm) determined through the resuspension assay (Bartl et al. 2025) and surface sediment characteristics (top 3 cm) including sediment grain size, organic matter content and phytopigments. Metadata include sampling location, sampling time and water depth.
