Hourly census of live cam rooms on Chaturbate, by category (September 2026)

An hourly census of how many live cam rooms are broadcasting on theChaturbate network, recorded continuously since 3 September 2026 andpublished as an open dataset. Each row is one clock hour for one category, giving the mean and maximumnumber of rooms on air in that hour and the number of readings the figuresare based on. The reading count is included so that any figure can beweighted or discarded by the user; hours early in the series rest on fewerreadings than later ones. Coverage of this version: 515 distinct hours from 2026-09-03T17:00Z to2026-09-25T17:00Z, 2,575 rows, 30,799 individual readings across fivecategories (all, female, male, couple, trans). All 24 clock hours arerepresented. Columns: hour_utc ISO 8601 hour, UTC category all | female | male | couple | trans rooms_mean sample-weighted mean rooms on air in that hour rooms_max highest single reading in that hour readings number of samples behind the row Method: room counts come from the platform's own public affiliate API,which returns an exact count for a query rather than an estimate. Thecount is sampled on a fixed schedule and accumulated as a running sum andsample count per hour, so rooms_mean is a sample-weighted mean rather thana single snapshot. No personal data, no broadcaster identifiers and nocontent are collected or included — the dataset contains only aggregatecounts of how many rooms were live. Summary findings in this release: the network peaks at 21:00 UTC with anaverage of 8,748 rooms on air and troughs at 10:00 UTC with 5,785, makingthe busiest hour 1.51 times the size of the quietest.
