Xanthomonas campestris was subjected to acoustic stimulation at 1000 Hz, and it was found to produce exopolysaccharide more than the ''control'' culture. Hence gene expression profile of the sonic-stimulated culture was studied to elucidate the molecular basis underlining the exopolysaccharide overproduction. Analysis of this data will also give an insight into how bacteria respond to sonic stimulation.
