Targeted amplicon deep sequencing of P. falciparum antimalarial drug resistance markers in Angola, 2023

P. falciparum antimalarial drug resistance marker genotypes and complexity of infection were obtained for 946 samples collected from 16 health facilities across 8 provinces of Angola between March and July 2023. Genotypes were generated using the MAD4HatTeR targeted amplicon deep sequencing protocol (Aranda-Diaz, 2025). The study is described in a preprint (João et al, 2025), which includes sampling and bioinformatics procedures, as well as summarized results.
